Adaptation of architectural education pedagogy in addressing COVID-19 pandemic

In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) proclaimed COVID-19 outbreak a global pandemic. As result, it has been mandated that all educational institutions complete 2019-20 spring semester online. Despite importance of distance education, appears online education not assisted architecture adequately. This is due to fact higher learning objectives, taught via coaching approaches, and incorporates nonverbal communication. Architects are trained through method focused on ‘studio course’. this environment, students’ decisions unintentionally affected by unanticipated backtalk discussions arise from design development process. other words, criticism, which graphic oral communication between students instructor, one most frequent strategies utilized in studio. The necessity for new frameworks sparked pedagogically distinctive consequences digital design. Thus, primary aim study monitor document current trends, benefits, limitations architectural discourse ecosystems both tutors’ perspectives. It also investigates alternative pedagogical agendas order address requirement integrate different levels with education. regard, effects medium, knowledge-based or theoretical courses, practical courses three common types influences system adaptability inertia. Finally, research, authors attempt formulate framework didactic principles modification using multiple methods data collection, primarily based systematic observation experiments, questioning participants before after experiment, evaluate descriptive results experiment.
